As a Boudoir Photographer I get to experience how uplifted and empowered a woman can feel after a boudoir experience and having intimate portraits taken. I embarked on a journey over the last six months that has taken that to the next level. I was privileged enough to pamper and photograph thirteen amazing woman, all who have been touched by breast cancer.
My mum suffered with breast cancer and this is my way of helping to give back. Helping to give these women back a lost piece of their femininity was such a huge part of this project. I did not realise quite how much an important part of their recovery this would be. It was an honour to be a part of some emotional healing with many of these women.
Each woman opened up to me, sharing their journey with breast cancer and I want to share those stories and images with you and help others in the future. These emotional stories along with the images taken have been brought together in a wall calendar that is immersive, visual and functional. This is not just a time piece, but an emotional collection of experiences. Read here how Miss July felt about her experience.
