Let’s talk about that little knot in your stomach.
You know the one, the fluttery feeling when you think about doing something bold. The one that shows up when the idea of a boudoir session crosses your mind… and then you instantly think, “No way, not me.”
That feeling? It’s completely normal. And more than that, it’s meaningful.
So many people assume that nerves are a sign they shouldn’t do something. That fear is a stop sign. But the truth? Nerves are often the most powerful indicator that you’re standing right at the edge of something important.
Think about it: We don’t usually get nervous over things we don’t care about. You don’t feel butterflies about taking out the bins or running errands. You feel nervous when something matters, when it’s tugging at something deeper inside of you. When it feels just outside your comfort zone.
And that’s what boudoir is for so many people. It’s something they’ve secretly thought about, maybe even dreamed about, but always dismissed as “not for me.” And the second they start to really imagine it… really see themselves in that moment, that little voice kicks in:
“But what if I’m awkward?”
“What if I hate how I look?”
“What if I’m not sexy enough, confident enough, brave enough?”
I want you to know this: the nerves don’t mean you’re not ready. They mean you are!

Feeling nervous doesn’t mean you’re doing the wrong thing. It means you’re doing something new, something different. Something that might just shake up the way you see yourself in the best possible way.
And if you’ve spent years, or even decades feeling disconnected from your body… or hiding parts of yourself… or waiting until you were “more” of something (more fit, more confident, more worthy)… then of course you’re going to feel nervous about showing up in front of a camera.
You’re human.
But here’s the thing: you don’t have to wait to feel fearless to do something empowering. You just have to be willing to feel a little nervous and do it anyway.
And that courage? That’s where the magic lives.
Because I’ve seen it again and again: the people who arrive to a boudoir session the most nervous are often the ones who leave the most transformed. Not because they suddenly look different, but because they see themselves differently.
They realize they don’t have to wait to be worthy of being seen. They already are.
So, if your heart races a little when you think about doing this…
If you feel a mix of excitement and fear and “what if I actually went for it?”…
That doesn’t mean you’re not ready. It might mean this is exactly the right time.

You’re allowed to feel nervous. You’re allowed to feel unsure. And you’re still allowed to take that next step, just as you are.
If you’ve been curious and want to talk about what a session could look like for you, I’d love to chat. No pressure, no expectations. Just answers, encouragement, and support.
Remember being scared is actually a green light!!! Nerves mean you are closer than you think. Whenever you’re ready, I’m here.
